All the treats ready to go for the last day of school! Whew! Got them done!

These were the cute Santa Sacks filled with Chocolate Saltine Toffee.....addicting!

These little Santa faces were attached to a licorice stick in cello. These were for Ryan's Class.

These Candy Treat Boxes were for Shane's Class. They had Hershey's Kisses which were white chocolate and candy cane flavored. They were yummy too. Of course I had to sample!

Spinner Card that I made for Jared's 14th Birthday. (In the box part I slid in a Kit Kat Bar) I liked it so much, I made it one of our club projects.

I saw a card similar to this. I love all the different textures. The flowers are heat embossed using red craft ink and clear embossing powder.

Great guy card. Can never have too many of those kicking around.

Similar to the one above but I just love the rich Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Paper. I ran out of the crochet trim ribbon for everyone to have on their card so I switched it out for the quilted Cherry Cobbler satin ribbon in the holiday mini that just came out. Wait until you see it! Gorgeous!

August's Christmas Card/Tag Class Projects

This image was colored with water color pencils & a blender pen. The red was with a marker. Can't see it in the picture but there is lots of dazzling diamonds on the tree, steps and snow.

Bells & Boughs. I heat embossed the bells with gold embossing powder and colored with markers.


I love this card. It's like looking out your window seeing the neighborhood kids racing home before the sun sets. This was done with glossy paper and sponge daubers. The kids are heat embossed with black embossing powder and the lovely as a tree stamp was heat embossed using chocolate chip craft ink and iridescent ice embossing powder.

This card was totally case'd from Diane Gilbert. As soon as I had seen this card, I fell in love with it. The only difference is the embossing folder I used was the new striped from Stampin' Up!

I have always wanted to do the criss cross card....finally check that off the to do list! I love it!

Tag #1 - Fairly simple...made to look like an ornament. This could be hung on the tree after being ripped off your present! One class participant forgot to pierce the holes on the white layer so I told her to put rhinestones in its place. Wow! what a pop!

Another simple and cute Christmas Tag.

Christmas Card. The snowflake is blinged out with dazzling diamonds and the Christmas Cocoa paper from a couple of Christmas's ago is shiny.

Our second Christmas Card. Traditional Christmas colors of Old Olive and Real Red. We used a build a brad for the "O" in Joy.

This card features new designer paper that will be in the new Idea Book & Catalog coming out this July!

A nice bright spring card! Sue didn't think much of it, but we turned it into a kid card for her.

Super cute kid card using the new Recess stamp set from the summer mini. All the card "paper" elements came precut including the card base and envelopes in a grab bag that I ordered off the clearance rack. Grab bags are still available!

Here is the inside of the kid card.....Love it! I will for sure be using these stamps for the boys' scrapbooks!

April Christmas Card and Tag Class Projects

This is Tag #1-keeping it simple as tags usually just get thrown away!

Here is what the tag looks like put together.

Christmas Card #1-Hard to tell from picture, but the embossed snowflakes are on shimmery white paper. Looks better in real life!

Christmas Card #2-Every Christmas I use this stamp set. It has been a favorite for years!

Tag #2-I used the 2 Tags Bigz Die. The actual tag does have a score down the middle and semi-circle to hold it closed. I chose to use the tag as is, unfolded. We embossed with chocolate chip craft ink and clear embossing powder and colored with the markers. We also frayed the ribbon to give it a nice effect!

This card was inspired by Kristina Koch. I received a swap from her quite a long time ago and fell in love with the layout.

Twisted Easel Card. I saw this on the ScorPalPals Yahoo Group as their monthly challenge. Spring is in the air, hence the cute ladybug! I know I've made the ladybug before, but this group hadn't, so of course I had to share!

The girls saw this card I did for Debby's workshop and wanted to make it. I did it exactly the same!

This was from Debby's workshop as well. Only difference being, I used some crystal effects on the cherries.

Christmas Cards and Tags on St. Patrick's Day???!!!!

I just love being able to pull out all my favorite retired stamps and accessories! It is my mission this year to be prepared with Christmas Cards and Gift Tags! I love this old Stampin' Up! set "Snow Play". I found these old snowflake transparency sheets Stampin' Up! sold a couple of years ago in the holiday mini. That was my starting point for this card. We used watercolor pencils and the blender pen to color this cute snow angel...:). I also used the new glass glitter in baja breeze. The glitter and the buttons are currently available in the Occasions Mini Catalogue. Available until April 30th.

Hard to tell from the picture, but this is the inside of the above card. It was another fun fold called the "Gate Fold".

For this card, it was all about incorporating the gold waffle paper Stampin' Up! introduced last fall in the Holiday Mini. What goes great with gold? Cherry Cobbler of course. All the rest just came together. Very classic looking card.

Here is the inside of the above card using the flourish stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set "Bliss" ~ Love it!

Christmas Tag #1 ~ Wanted to keep them simple as they get ripped off and thrown away anyway. Here we used Sahara Sand sponged with Chocolate Chip and Silver Heat Embossing on Rich Razzleberry...(another favorite color!)

This tag has it all! It's cute and glittery. It's using pre-glittered paper from last year's holiday mini and the current Punch Pals stamp set. We popped up the trees, snowman and sentiment.

Debby's Stampin' Up! Party Projects

This was our second project of the evening. This is using our Build a Cupcake stamp set and punch. I'm used my favorite designer series paper "Elegant Soiree" I love the combination of Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, and Vanilla. Buckle cards are always a fun change to make. In this combination I added a bit of cherry cobbler.....another favorite!

This was a cute little gift I made for Debby. My inspiration came from Kari Metzger. She is an uber-talented demonstrator in our Colourful Impressions group. Every stamper needs some candy and chocolate! Unfortunately, Debby is on a very restricted diet after getting out of the hospital recently. I packed her some skittles, chocolate covered almonds and some hershey's kisses. I figured if she weren't able to have them, she could share with her kids...:) She said she'd wait until she was allowed to eat them! LOL! So cute. I pray she heals quickly and gets back her energy!

One of my club gals really wanted to make a Tri-Shutter Card, so this is what I came up with.

I case'd this card from a swap card I received from Cathy Autrey. Makes me really long for spring!

I case'd this card from a card I fell in love with by Monica Weaver. The bow tying technique was told to me by a dear customer Tina Neudorf. Thank you Tina! Everyone loved this lovely bow!

Another one of my club gals saw a tutorial on someone's website for this gift card holder card. She emailed me the instructions so we could make it as one of our club projects. Turned out pretty great!

Here we did a square card and experimented with the fan fold.....this is definitely not a card to be mailed! This one I'm saving to give to my Mother-in-Law!

Love the new spinners! Here is a kid's card we did. Can never have too many of these pre-made!

This Valentine Card was a LOT of work but I LOVE it. We used the letterpress background with versamark, then heat and stick powder, then dazzling diamonds......lots of texture and layers to this one!

Here we practiced the Black Magic techinque with the water color pencils and white gel pen......I love this one too! I just love when all the cards seem to come together and resonate!

Really hard to see but the girl is embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder and for a background behind her the cherry blossoms (also stamped on the inside) are stamped in crumb cake behind her. The white tag reads "Happy Birthday"

This is a friend Valentine spinner card. I wanted to come up with other ways to use this stamp set without having to buy the actual spinners - be more cost effective. I'm thinking this would be a good one to make for January club....what do you think? Also, unable to see in the photo is the little heart that says "love" stamped in white craft ink behind the spinner track.


I must say, I love this card now that it's made. Baja breeze is one of my favorite colors. I was so happy when they brought this color back! Also the new cupcake punch....how fun. More work, as you have to stamp the parts separately. It does beat hand cutting everything out though.....I think.....hmmm, should I make this a club card too? Or include this one in my card class? Dilemma, dilemma...

Here is the same card with a different way to do the sentiment....Hard to see but we used the new smooch illuminate on the embossed and debossed areas of the vanilla cardstock.

I originally did this card as a gate fold card for my July card club but decided to show how the embosslits worked and did a full card for the big shot gals.
I cased this card directly from the the front cover the new Idea Book and Catalogue.
Hard to see the glitter on the butterfly, but truly beautiful in real life!

Ah, yes, teacher gifts.....

A small post it note holder with pen. I used craft ink and clear embossing powder to make the apple and its' leaves so shiny.....
For Ryan's teachers (he had 2) I made them each a mini banana loaf and did a make shift box out of cardboard that I got from some packaging of SU goodies along the way. I embossed this in versamark and black embossing powder and then colored with my copics. The new homemade tag and 2 3/4 inch scallop circle punch from stampin up. This was embossed in gold. For Shane's teachers I made them each a card (3 teachers) and made them a batch of butter tarts to share. Teacher Sarah received an apple like the one above.

Other than that I've been working on making some cards for my girlfriends new shop in downtown Chilliwack. Her shop is called Diva! and will be opening July 3rd.....it's everything girly you can imagine from sexy shoes to lacey bits etc....I'm so honoured that she asked me to make some cards for her to sell. So.....I've been working like a mad woman to get lots to choose from for her.......So hopefully I won't be away so long again!

I'm on Shaw TV!

I was contacted by Tiffany Gurden from Shaw TV a few weeks ago. She was wanting to do a story about me being a stay at home mom and my love for stamping and crafting and how I integrate all of it into my everyday life. Well, we shot the piece last Friday April 9 and it started airing Friday April 16th. It's on a continual loop until next Friday April 23rd.

The boys got a real kick out of seeing pictures of themselves on the TV. So, the only way I can share it with those of you that don't live in Chilliwack was to record it with my camera and then upload it. So, of course it's not the best video, but at least this way you get to see it. I have recorded it on my PVR so I can relish in my 15 minutes of fame for years to come. lol.

Of course I got off easy this year compared to last year. (If you don't recall, last year I made red pillow boxes with hearts punched out and acetate covering the hearts so you could see inside the colourful smarties......That was a tonne of work!) I made some heart shaped cookies to be put inside each of these and they of course had colored sugared sprinkles on them! These Valentines went together so quickly and easily. These would also make great birthday "loot" boxes. You could actually fit some great stuff into these boxes. Let your imagination guide you! (These are from the Occasion Mini too!) These are while quantities last......

February Club Projects.

This card is made with a new Stampin' Up! set we got from Leadership that will be in the new big catalogue come July.....it is so beautiful. We used the poppin' pastels technique.
Being half Irish, I always have to make a St. Patrick's Day card! This is using the new scalloped heart embosslit die in the Occasion Mini.
This Black and White card is so elegant! It's using the Bride designer paper, white satin ribbon, and of course the free scalloped edge punch (with a $65 purchase).

These were a couple of the card club projects we did in December....I ended up mailing the other two before I was able to take the pictures of them......I was in a time crunch.....go figure!
I made these calendar book marks and altered journal books for all of my club ladies and for the teachers at school. Sorry for the delay....I'm now working on my January club projects, scrapbook layout for two of my club ladies and my swaps for Leadership 2010 in Phoenix! Woohoo! Phoenix here I come January 5th-9th!

Amy wanted to learn how to make a waterfall card......so this is what I came up with using the Snow Buddies Level 2 stamp set from the holiday mini.

This card was inspired by Beate Johns.......
A few of the ladies really didn't like making this next card. Emboss resist or Joseph's Coat....Kind of messy to make but a few of them actually liked it.
I saw this card on someone's blog with the punchy snowman......can't remember who. Such a cute guy!

This Marquee card was inspired by Jan Tinklenberg.....she had a tutorial on her blog and I couldn't resist making this. Then I just had to share it with the ladies!Tada! Here's the Bee! I just love how cute this set is!
I wanted to intorduce a few different things to the ladies, like a unique fold along with the spiral punch and stamping on acetate.......Busy lots to learn kind of card.....
This was inspired by a fellow stamper from North Vancouver....Marie Kirkwood. I received this in one of the swaps we both participated in and fell in love with it. Thanks Marie!
Lots of the ladies in my groups love purple and green so that is what inspired me to make this card for them.

My Anniversary Card

I made this anniversary card for my husband. We've been married for 5 years now. (together for 12) We had a wonderful evening at Dakota's South restaurant. Prime Rib and Red Wine were scrumptious! Dessert (B52 cheesecake) was sent back......ugh....

Anyway, Thank you Pam for coming over on Monday and sharing a creative day with me and bringing lunch.....it was great!

I must say though, this card was originally supposed to be vertical but the champagne glasses didn't fit the punch that way, so I had to turn it and come up with a different layout! I think it turned out ok. Dave isn't too critical....:)

This card, the marker club ladies made. I made this way back near Valentine's day. They loved it, so we made it using Rose Red paper and the Raspberry DSP which is now retired.
This slider choo-choo was case'd from a fellow demonstrator in our Colourful Impressions group, Julie Ramsay......both clubs made this one this month....with the new in colors.
I made this card especially for my girlfriend Charmaine, as she recently lost her dad suddenly on June 30th. I liked it, so we made it for stamp club.
This card both groups made, chalkboard technique with the new level 3 hostess stamp setkind & caring thoughts, razzleberry lemonade dsp, and the new in color paper and ribbon, melon mambo.
I have to say that I love this card I love the colors, razzleberry, with the ribbon, and vanilla c/s....delicious!

I made a dozen maple leaf shaped cookies and iced them in red for a going away present for Ryan's vice principal who is moving to Robertson Elementary to be their principal.
This is the card that I made for Jonathon - We'll miss him around the school, but wish him luck in his new position!
This was the teacher gift we gave to Ryan's teacher Mrs. Leanne Krajnyak. I gave her the Teacher's Pet stamp set and black ink pad.
Sadly, our Principal Margo Valer is retiring this year! We're all so sad to see her go, but she deserves it! She really loves golf so, you sense a theme here?
I had made some more sugar cookies for Debbie and Charla who work in Shane's preschool class.
These are the close ups of the sugar cookie bouquets that I made for Sarah and Mary Lou - Shane's teachers and I also made one for Margo and Ryan's LA teacher (who is also retiring) Dawn Adams. I had also made 2 more for Ryan's two teachers over at Watson Elementary....Mrs. Angelucci and Mrs. Tournier.....he loved the program at Watson! So I made 6 bouquets all together.....I know, CRAZY!
I also gave each of the secretaries at Ryan's school a huge sugar cookie on a stick.......cause they are the rock of the school. They make it tick!
Here are the bouquests......I believe there were about a dozen cookies in each...
I went all crazy and made 12 backpacks for Shane's class - (there were 11 in his class by the end of the year) Inside fit about four flower shaped sugar cookies with sprinkles. Kids loved them!
The dark picture is not blurry, but you can see them batter in the blurry picture...
This is the card I made for Shane's baseball coach. She was awesome! Of course Shane's team name were the bees! He got to keep his team t-shirt and hat.......
The inside......I guess I neglected to take a picture of Dawn's card that I made for her as she is retiring after 23 years of service at Sardis Elementary....oh well, on to more cards......

At Stampin' Up!, we constantly evaluate our existing product offering, as well as look for exciting new products we know you'll love. With this in mind, we'd like to recommend that you keep any In Color basic products (card stock and inks) you may have purchased in the past, even though they are retiring, or may have already been retired. It is possible, but not guaranteed, that we may incorporate a few of your favourite In Colors in some other way in the future. In that event, it may help you to have the coordinating products already on hand!

Marker Club projects for May

Here the technique was using markers on acetate, spritzing with water and making a funky background on glossy paper. Also dying white grosgrain ribbon with the markers to match your project.
This is just straight coloring book using the many marvelous markers.....
This is demonstrating the shading with the markers. This card was well received the first time around that I wanted to use it again for these ladies. I just love how you can see the little bee's feet through the door....:) ( The bee hive lifts up to reveal the hidden bee....)
This card demonstrates using the markers on the rubber to get a multi colored image on one stamp.
