Congrats Tara! A tradition we started with our son is that Santa brings only three gifts to represent the three gifts from the Wise Men.

You have a wonderful blog!

Congrats on 10K and many more to come! WoW this is some sweet celebration candy. One of our traditions for Christmas is to get together with the family and go cruisin and looking at all the displays and lights. Christmas day we make sure our kids understand what Christmas is really all about. Thanks for a chance.

Wow, look at all those goodies :)! Thanks for this chance to win these wonderful goodies :)! I would have to say that my favorite xmas tradition was when my grandmother was alive. We used to celebrate the German Christmas with her on xmas eve, with traditional German food (I wasn't a huge fan of all the food). But the music we sang, the time we spent together I miss.

Hugs,

Congrats on your 10000 hits! Way to go. I just found your blog and love your projects and cards. My favorite tradition is singing Christmas carols with the family. Everyone is musical so it's really fun.

My favorite tradition is opening gifts on Christmas eve. We've been doing that for as long as I can remember and I always enjoy it more each year.
As for my favorite treat, well these cookies have got to take the cake. They're good anytime but Christmas time especially since Pecans are in season then.

Minnesota Munchers
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. Minnesota baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
⅔ cup toffee bits
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine flour baking powder and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips; toffee bits and pecans. Drop by spoon full onto cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes in preheated oven. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to cool completely on wire rack.

We always make gingerbread men, and the kids loved decorating them.. and then, of course, eating them.
Congratulations on reaching 10,000 hits! Love the Studio G stamps - wish I could find them here.

I found a great recipe last year that is very easy to do.. and yummy.
Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallows

1. Crush a few candy canes in a ziplock bag and pour into a bowl.
2. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave.
3. Push half a straw or a small candy cane into a marshmallow (nice to use the Holiday ones), and dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate and then roll in the crushed candy canes.
4. Lay on waxed paper to harden.

Wrap with cellophane or Saran Wrap and tie with a ribbon. They make great little gifts or package tie-ons.

We always made popcorn balls. Not sure how that got started, but it was great fun! Now all the kids and grandkids are 2,000 milse away so we mostly try to think of fun things to send them that will give them their own traditions and fond memories.
